Winter Jing Tag - with DT Lisa

Hi Bloom Girls (and Guys lol) ! It's Lisa here with you today and I have a tag to share using the beautiful Jing Bloom Girl stamp. I really wanted to use her in a different way and to show that you don't have to be an expert at coloring to use these gorgeous stamps.

Can I just say how much I love these cool and lovely, yet earthy colors?

Here are my steps:

1.The tag was created by first coloring on the tag using Gelatos® and blending with my finger.

2. I tore off a piece of the polka dotted tissue paper and stamped what I had with the Jing Bloom Girl in white pigment ink and then heat setting with white embossing powder.

3. I then used Gel Medium to adhere the tissue paper to the tag. And heat set.

4. In random areas I used various shades of blue Stamper's Big Brush pens to color the flowers (I also used Gelatos® to color her face.)

5. I applied Whipped Spackle randomly through a stencil to various parts of the tag, Prior to the
Color Bloom Sprays were applied randomly.

6. The edges of the tag were inked using Archival Ink in Jet Black.

7. The snowflakes were something I just had in my stash and thought they'd look cute!

8. The finishing touches were to add the flowers. I love picking and choosing just the right ones, don't you?

I hope you liked this different take on a Winter tag and see how very easy it is to use the supplies you have on hand to make something very different and VERY beautiful.

Have a wonderful week!

Bloom Girl Gift Tags by DT Louise :) :) :)

Hello Hello Fellow Bloom Girl Fans :) :) :)

Today I would like to share with you some tags that I have created using the Instachic stamps and the newer release Jing cling stamp :)

First up I have creates 3 small gift tags ussing the fabulous Instachic range of cling stamps; Joy, Karlie & Paige.

I have heat embossed the stamped images with some lovely gold embossing powder, and also added a bit of dimension with some fussy cutting :)

This last tag is one I created for Prima Marketing to celebrate the birthday of the Prima Creative Director. I have again embossed the stamp image [Jing] and added dimension with some fussy cutting of the flowers, which extend off the edge of the tag :)

Well that is it from me for November, I do hope you are loving the Creative Teams Inspiration so far this month?!!!

Cheers and Happy Creating!

October Challenge with DT Lisa

Hi everyone! It's Lisa here with you today and I'm bringing you my take on the October Challenge. Have you played along yet? You have all month long to participate! Just grab your fave Bloom Girl and get going. Here's the inspiration photo (as a quick reference) :

Current Challenge

And here's my take on the challenge photo. I used the same Bloom Girl stamp (Jing) and the colors:

What I did was to stamp her on black paper and heat emboss in white. Then I colored her in using pastel pencils. I added some highlights on the flowers using Viva Decor Precious Metal Color in Lilac and Copper. Her hair was darkened using Wink of Stella in black. And her lips and her one (showing eye) were glossified (hahha!) using Glaze. Oh! I also changed the color of the one purple flower. It WAS white. ;) Sneaky, huh? I just used a PITT Artist Stamper's Big Brush Pen to do that. The metal embellishment was painted with lime green acrylic paint then dabbed with black acrylic paint on top. Fun card that's easy to recreate.

Easy right? I always love seeing what everyone else creates during these challenges. I hope that you enjoy what WE create too and can see how easy it can be.

HAPPY MONDAY!

Bloom Girl Jing Canvas with DT Mindy!

Hello there my Bloom Girl Peeps!

It's Mindy here. I have a canvas to share with you. I have used Bloom Girl Jing. She's just gorgeous! Honestly I had no clue where this was going. I wanted it to be black and white.. then I thought I'd add pops of pink. Then somehow blue-green got in there! LOL!

I do love the way it came out though.

I have a coloring video I did on Coloring 980191 Bloom Girl Jing. I was hoping to have it up today. But -- Time has not allowed. So, next week it will have to be!

Mixed Media Canvas with GDT Samara!

WOW…this piece is seriously one of my favorites.  I played with a lot
of images before I settled on all these components coming together.
First, I selected the Jing stamp and colored her on Copic X-Press It
card stock using a variety of Copic Markers.  I added LuminArte
Twinkling H20s in Guatemalan Green, and Apricot Nectar to the flowers
in Jing’s hair.  I then very carefully cut her out.  I used a black
copic marker to carefully outline the sides so that the white cut line
wasn’t visible.  I set her aside while I prepared the canvas panel.

For the canvas panel, I used a variety of Liquitex and Golden acrylic
paints in coordinating colors.    I then used Dylusions sprays again
in coordinating colors.  Finally I used Gelatos by Faber Castell.  I
was able to create texture by using the foam dot brush in water to
remove the Dylusions and to add Gelatos.    I used Matte Medium to
carefully add Jing to the canvas paying close attention to not allow
the Matte Medium onto the front.  I added the canvas letters from
Prima (love) after carefully adding Dylusions inks.    I hand lettered
“Real” onto Copic EX-Press it and carefully cut out.  I adhered “love”
and “real” to the canvas panel and then hand lettered the remaining
phrase directly to the canvas using a Faber Castell PITT pen.

Now it was time to add the flowers.  I opened up all my flower
packages and went to town carefully layering.    Because I don’t
initially glue the embellishments down, I usually photograph my final
arrangement, remove them from the canvas and then using the photo
carefully build the piece back up.    I absolutely adore this piece
and have plans on framing her in a 3D frame (so that then flowers
don’t get smashes) and displaying her in my living room.

Enjoy!

Mixed Media Canvas by DT Jennifer Priest.

Today we have a gorgeous canvas created by Design Team Member Jennifer Priest.
This is beyond gorgeous.. The colors the texture it's all just... perfect!

Here's a little bit from Jennifer about her canvas.

I wanted to create a canvas using the Bloom Girl "Jing" stamp on wood. As a scrapbooker at heart, I wanted to try to use mostly scrapbooking and card supplies to make this mixed media canvas come alive - I bet you have alot of these same supplies at home too! I "painted" Jing with Smooch Accent Ink by Clearsnap. While I was blending, I smudged the ink onto her face by accident. I added some decoupage book pages to the left side of the canvas and added patches of bok pages to Jing's face. She is damaged but still beautiful. I envisioned a woman who is going through some trials but still waking up and living each day as fully as she can. I finished the pieces with splatters of Izink Acrylic Pigment Ink, Pan Pastels, and Smooch Spritz by Clearsnap.
