Bloom Girl Sophie Layout :) :) :)

Hello Hello fellow Bloom Girl Fans :)

Today I would like to share with you a very simple layout that still has visual impact because of its simplicity. I have also included a quick and simple pictorial step out of how I created it :) :) :)

For this layout I have used the beautiful Bloom Girl Sophie

Step out :)

To begin I stamped with embossing ink the Sophie image on 2 peices of pearl white card stock, on one I did a simgle image and on the second I did multitple images for the fussy cutting.

I emboss the stamped images I used black embossing powder.

Heat set all of the embossed images with a heat gun.

I higlight the pattern on the white resin frame and to coordinate it to the stamped image I used a black ink pad.

Next grab a freash cup of coffee and begin your fussy cutting.

Once the cutting has been done adhere your photo and the resin frame in position

Then start layering up the fussy cutting, I have used both adhesive dimensional foam dots and clear drying glue for this.

I then added some splats of black paint to help soften the 'white space', and then completed the final embellishing.

Well that is it for me for the moment, I do hope you enjoy this share.

Cheers and Happy Bloom Creating :) :) :)

Christmas Inspiration with Sophie Bloom Girl and Lisa

Hi everyone! It's Lisa back on the blog with you today. I'm sharing a card with you today that (of course is HERE), but will also be seen over on Prima's blog as with rest of the Bloom Girls DT. We're participating in their 12 Days of Christmas Cards this week so this card and so many of the rest of the team have cards to share.

I used Jamie's gorgeous Sophie Bloom Girl stamp as my focal point here. But, when I was going through my stash I realized I didn't have much in the way of Christmas paper!! Such a travesty, I know. However, I do have papers from Prima that could serve double duty and once I pulled those out I knew exactly what to do. Yay!!

The paper collection that I used is Free Spirit. And I colored Sophie with Copic markers (I use the term loosely since I'm still really bad at it...Lol!!). Then I knew I just wanted everything else to be in shades of gold, cream, white, that kind of thing. And it really makes the reds and greens "pop" more. It's always fun going through all my flowers and embellishments finding just the right things. :)

Here's another angle:

In this photo you can really see all of that dimension! It's a heavy card. And lots of pretty shimmeriness on it. (I think I just made up a word.)

And a little close-up of her pretty face. (I even gave her a teeny tiny earring!)

I hope you enjoyed my card today, but more so I hope that you got inspired by what you can do from NON-traditional Christmas elements. There isn't a Christmas sentiment on this card and yet, I think, it still looks very Christmas-y. Don't you?

Don't forget to check out the Prima blog for ALL of the Bloom Girls awesome creations! You are sure to be inspired.

Have a wonderful week!

A Card for the New School Year's Teacher

It's that time of year again.  Back to school, new beginnings and NEW TEACHERS!!
I made this card for my 2nd grader to give to her new teacher.
I used Bloom Girl Sophie on this card, because she looks a little like my daughter's new teacher.

I used so many different things to color this in, but the main coloring was done with Inktense colored pencils.

This is a Tri-Fold card, so when you open the first flap, you will see the Teachers name...

Then the inside has a piece of lined paper that I'm going to let my daughter write a note or draw a picture, what ever it is she wants to do. :)

Here is one last look, I secured it closed with a Bloom Girl Typewriter Key Paper Clip.  The card has also been embellished with Bloom flowers and the Optimist 6 x 6 paper pad.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today.

Sophie card by DT Stephanie!

Hi everyone! Today We have Design Team Stephanie on the blog. She has made an absolutely beautiful card. Her attention to detail is beyond words.

Stephanie is going to share a little about her project...

I'm here to show you a card with the gorgeous Bloom Girl Sophie. She's truly a dream to work with, as she can fit any sized card, layout, or tag. I decided to stamp her with a no-line colouring technique, fussy cut and outlined with a black marker tip, and then to add some flowers and other embellies in her hair as if they're creative ideas blooming there. Well, you can't say there wasn't any concept behind this eheh!

If you look carefully, you can also find some antique white resin frame and metal vintage key from the Ingvid Bolme line at Prima, papers and flowers from the Seashore collection.

Now to find her a nice home! Thanks for watching :)

Thanks for visiting us today. We hope you are enjoying all of the  designers inspiration.

Don't forget about our challenge this month!
